Why I Created This Writing Blog

Hello! I'm Shay. I'm a 27-year-old Edmontonian who can't wait to meet you all. This blog is a new venture for me, and I'm thrilled to be here! I created this website for a place to share my writing and be a little more involved in the amazing writing community around me. Since I was young I have loved writing, whether it be short stories, or poetry, or long novels. A blog seems a natural progression for me, and I am thrilled that with it comes the opportunity to explore some other things I'm passionate about, and maybe even find a few others who are passionate about the same things!

I want to share writing tips, writing successes, and celebrate other authors in this blog. I also can't wait to get started with my 'Book Club' section where I can talk about some of my favourite works - I'm especially excited to hear about what books are beloved by YOU! Please drop me a line, I'm always adding to my 'to read' pile! I would also love to hear about anything you've been working on (I'm a sucker for fiction books and poetry) so drop a comment below!
